THE LAKE RAKE PROCESS

The lake rake is carried or boated across the lake or pond, lowered over the weeds and drops down on to the root system. When pulled back across the lake or pond it rips the entire root system from the bottom of the lake and collects the weeds. This also disturbs the sediment which increases turbidy in the water and reduces light penetration acting as a natural UV filter which in turn reduces the photosynthesis needed for re-growth. The lake rake process is a much more permanent and long term option and much more cost affective than dyes and weed cutting that can lead to oxygen crashes in the water caused by large amounts of rotting weed at the bottom of the lake bed.
